Arkus-Duntov sold his 1974 Corvette for a six-figure amount. The
new 6-speed Manual Transmission made it's debut in the 1989 Corvette.
84 ZR-1 Corvettes were built for evaluation, testing and media
preview, dealers were informed the ZR-1 would be a 1990 Model.
Planning began on the next Generation Corvette C-5, at that time
to be introduced in 1993.
